Epsom Salt is Magnesium Sulphate/Sulfate – Mg2SO4 and is highly soluble in water.
Epsom Salts will improve flower blooming and enhances the green colour of the leaves.
Plants require Magnesium for chlorophyll production for photosynthesis. Increasing chlorophyll production will increase photosynthesis which will give the plants more energy to produce flowers and fruits.
The other key nutrient Epsom Salt provides is Sulfur. Sulfur can have a significant impact on fruit/crop quality and taste/smell. Sulphur is an important nutrient for plant metabolism. It is an essential nutrient. Some agronomists are considering that Sulfur is the second most important nutrient after Nitrogen. Sulfur is required for aid nitrogen uptake and sulfur deficiency reduces plant’s ability to take in nitrogen.
Epsom Salt mixed with water is a quick, cheap and efficient way of supplementing your plants with the much needed Magnesium and Sulphate.
Fruiting plants such as tomatoes, chilis, cucumbers require a lot of Magnesium during flowering and fruit production. These fruiting plants will benefit greatly from the increase availability of Magnesium ions from Epsom Salt.

Using Epsom Salt is easy. You just mix with water.
Dilute 1 tablespoon of epsom salt in 2L of water once a month. You can spray the leaves with the epsom salt solution or pour into the soil for absorption.
